“Gestapo” tactics would involve “disapearing” Trump supporters. These are just traditional Democratic party tactics (Tammany Hall, Daley machine, etc.) — and that would really offended the liberal Democrats (note how touchy they get when the Republicans want to limit the voting to live people who live in the district). Of course, accusing the Republican establishment of acting like “Democrats” is really quite insulting, if true.
