   If I’d be the sherrif I’d summon these bochurim to jail for two nights. This is unacceptable. U don’t go into the woods at 6pm and surely not on an unmarked trail. The amount of money that was spent for this search is terrible.

   6 pm is still day and one can get lost even at 3 pm

   Would you say the same if the wouldn’t be yeshiva bochurim? Boy Scouts for instance?

   geula: However wise or unwise the camping trip was, it didn’t violate any local or state law.

   The actual story:
   These boys were taking a walk on the road when a homeowner came out and started yelling at them and threatening them.
   They were so scared off (possibly because a dog was present) that they ran into the woods.
   The area there is a tangled jungle, and totally unprepared, they immediately got lost.
   I heard this from one of the Hatzalah members in the search team.
