Mazel Tov. What happens to the Y? It serves the community with many services. Will they open also in a brand new

What does the Y, a non profit organization, do with the money? Who will now pocket that money? What are the legal ramifications?

to be honest i prefer the Y the community at large has more benefit from the y than from another mega shul
    that is really not needed

    Mr Mo613

You can kindly go to the Y at theyre new location. I?m sure the new Bobov Shul will be beautiful and I look forward to using it.

The Sketch of the New Shul looks huge a full sqaure block on 14ave, its very interesting that till today no Shul in entire NYC is big a square block, even the big Satmar Shul in Williamsburg and Bobov 48st Shul are also not big a Square Block,
After Bobov 45st will build such a huge shul, other rebbes will try to compete and build a bigger shul…

The Y , being a non- profit , and a necessary institution for seniors and many holocaust survivors , should definitely build a more up-to-date replacement facility with their windfall…
Many seniors and holocaust survivors depend on the Y to keep them occupied and enhances their quality if life ; hence the necessity to rebuild in the area,..

    Interesting.
Isn’t it owned by Klausinburger Rabbi?
From where does he Suddenly have money for such a lot? Most probably costed 20 25 million?

Wow!!! Jews!! Some really hatefull imfarginer comments!! It’s really sick!! You should all go out and take a full time job!! And let every rebbe have what they need.
Less hatred will certainly bring the geula closer

Will they also build a parking lot? Or just line the streets with school buses and double parked cars? No issue with building a large beautiful shul, big issue with inconveniencing others.

    For how much?
Years ago, I was unemployed and wanted to join the Y , their only question was if I was Russian. As I said no, they wanted me to pay.

Actually, the medicaid fraud unit will come to investigate you first. Maybe you should do your homework before spewing venom.

The Y is reasonably well endowed and will use these funds to purchase/develop a new facility in BP in several years. In the interim, it will continue operating. The cost of making needed repairs to the existing building and bringing it up to code (especially ADA related changes) was apparently prohibitive.

Where is there a large available parcel of land for the Y to build on anywhere within Brooklyn?
