A Lakewood Powerball lottery player will soon have some extra cash in his pocket, after the ticket he purchased became a second-tier winner worth $1 million.
One California and one Wisconsin Lottery players split the $632.6 million Powerball jackpot from the Wednesday drawing – the seventh largest Powerball jackpot on record.
The $1 million ticket was sold at Robin’s Convenience Store Deli & Grill, 1200 River Ave., in Lakewood. The store is non-Jewish and sells non-kosher food, thus it is unlikely that the winner is a frum yid.
Moreover, four New Jersey Lottery tickets matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball drawn winning the $50,000 third-tier prize.
The winning numbers for the Wednesday, January 5, drawing were: 06, 14, 25, 33, and 46. The Red Power Ball number was 17. The Multiplier number was 02.

Or maybe it was someone who just was desperate to buy a drink or a cigarette or maybe just a lottery ticket and this place was open and available. Or even better yet, maybe a frum guy had a teiveh for something non kosher but had something else that he did that warranted a big reward and Hashem decided to give it to him on this world?
Why does the fact that it was sold in a treifa store mean the winner isn’t frum? Where else could he or she buy a ticket?

I don’t know about Lakewood, but I’ve been in some convenience stores in the NY area where individuals in yeshivish and Chassidish lvush have come in exclusively to purchase lottery tickets.
Actually, there?s a big possibility that it is a frum yid, many Jews in that area buy their lottery tickets from that store.
Convenience stores often sell kosher snacks and drinks with hashgachot.

OK so while we’re being silly, the Google photos of this store show a minivan parked in front, so it’s a good chance the winner was a frum yid.
I go to that store twice a day to buy lottery tickets while my gambling app is down or recharging
