The chilonim have been known to post Pashkevilim urging the chareidim to protest and block traffic knowing that it only increases animosity for the chareidim and discourages baalei teshuva. And here goes the chareidim playing into their hands.
Blocking traffic has never accomplished anything positive.
“Blocking traffic has never accomplished anything positive.” It gives the bored batlanim something to do. Every normal outlet is assur, so they riot in the streets instead. The bochurim who are run over are just the price of kosher entertainment.
