The vast majority of Americans don’t care for President Joe Biden’s promise to nominate a black woman to the US Supreme Court, and want him to instead consider all possible candidates to replace retiring Justice Stephen Breyer.
The poll, conducted by ABC News-Ipsos, found that a whopping 76% of Americans want Biden to consider all potential nominees, not just black female ones.
Among Democrats, 54% said they want Biden to consider all possible nominees regardless of race and gender, while just 23% want him to consider only black females for the position.
Biden has been sharply criticized for saying that his Supreme Court nominee would be limited to a black female, with many accusing him of allowing identity politics to seep into the Supreme Court.
“To create that kind of situation in the highest court in the land is really abominable, and very detrimental to our freedoms,” said Dr. Ben Carson.

We need a black woman. Cuz Supreme Court Justices are just actors too. Plus, you know, it’s not like she’d have a bunch of black woman clerks. The clerks actually do the work, and they are actually qualified.
Trump considered only two white guys on the short list of the Federalist society and then less than a month before the election, he decided the country needed a white female with Federalist society/right wing creds to replace RBG. For over 200 years, Presidents have somehow figured out how not to appoint a Black woman to the court. Elections have consequences and this appointment, whoever he selects from a short list of eminently qualified lawyers, will be one of the more positive consequences of the 2020 election.

Ronald Reagan said as a candidate he would appoint a woman.
The first consideration is qualification. No doubt there are many. So what’s wrong with a qualified African-American woman? If you’re outraged, perhaps you’re the racist or misogynist.

Apparently Joe Biden vehemently disagrees with Dr. King. He feels that blacks are too dumb and stupid to get on the Supreme Court on their own talent and compitency, or show ID when going to vote. The WHITE male, Joe Biden, is an old time racist who only wants to further the racial divide that HE created.
