Ex-ZAKA Head Yehuda Meshi-Zahav Found In Critical Condition

ZAKA chairman Yehuda Meshi-Zahav (ZAKA Twitter)

Former ZAKA head Yehuda Meshi-Zahav was discovered unconscious at his home by his son on Thursday morning.

His son called emergency medical services who quickly arrived and carried out life-resuscitation techniques and evacauted him to Shaarei Tzedek Hospital in critical condition.

Doctors have stabilized his condition somewhat but he is still in life-threatening condition and is sedated and ventilated in the ICU.

Serious and multiple accusations of wrongdoing were made against Meshi-Zahav over a month ago after it was announced that he was chosen as a recipient of the Israel Prize. He subsequently forfeited the Israel Prize and stepped down as the head of ZAKA.

An investigative article was scheduled to be broadcast tonight on Channel 12 News regarding the allegations against Meshi-Zahav.

In January, Meshi-Zahav lost both parents and a brother to the coronavirus.

A journalistic piece with out any relevant facts. Nice work, but it would have been better to ignore the topic rather than say nothing in many words.

    “Multiple accusations of wrongdoing.” Ha!
IT’S PEOPLE LIKE YOU WHO ENABLE PEOPLE LIKE HIM TO GET AWAY WITH IT!!!
Say it as it is. Don’t trim the rough edges to avoid admitting the uncomfortable.

I think YWN actually did a great job here. I asume it could not have been missed completely so the reporting is minimilastic and careful. Well done.

He should have a Refua Shleima and a fair hearing.

A TV report cannot be fair!

Etzhar, a TV report cannot be fair, but dozens of police complaints can.

Botyh Meshi Zahav & Berland are ?????? ?????? and how dare this corrupt legal system place false accusations against either of them or against Netanyohu for that matter.

What is his name for tefillo? He has not been found guilty of anything. An attempted suicide, as reported elsewhere may easily be the result of severe psychiatric trauma caused by wholly untrue and unsubstantiated allegations. PittedOlive: as far as has been reported there are no dozens of police complaints.

I strongly disagree with publishing these allegations against him. As drum Jews we believe it teshuva. As you see all these allegations are from the 80s and early 90s there are zero recent allegations against him!! Yeshiva world is not supposed to be a tabloid website!! What purpose is there in publishing this article
