Knesset Channel Poll: 78 Percent Don’t Trust Lapid

lapWhile Finance Minister Yair Lapid enjoys his newfound political might, his popularity is waning rapidly according to a Knesset Channel poll. The poll shows that 78% of the population does not trust him as the nation’s finance minister, an new low rating for the novice politician. 20% of respondents continue to rely on the minister and 65% of respondents feel he is not a democrat.

Is Yair Lapid suited to serve as prime minister?

82% – No

12% – Yes

Is Yair Lapid keeping his election promises to the electorate?

54% – No

46% – Yes

If elections were held today…

Likud/Beitenu – 30 seats (currently has 31)

Bayit Yehudi – 17 (currently has 12)

Labor – 17 (currently has 15)

Yesh Atid – 13 (currently has 19)

Shas – 10 (currently has 11)

Meretz – 10 (currently has 6)

Arab parties – 11 (currently have 11)

Kadima – 2 (currently has 2)

Lapid voters were asked if they will vote for Yesh Atid in the future.

43% – No

41% – Yes

    1. Given the secular and Ashkenazi biases of Israeli polls, the results are “interesting.”

    2. If the raising the threshold goes through, it will alter results since parties will need a minimum of five seats to get elected.

    i wouldnt be surprised that by the time of election ein atid wont even pass the threshhold (just like his father)
