Meeting with Gedolei Yisrael Regarding Emanuel Beis Yaakov

Following the latest High Court of Justice decision to end the segregation in the Emanuel Beis Yaakov, ordering parents and Chinuch Atzmai to act immediately or face stiff fines, meetings were held with Maranan V’Rabbanan Gedolei Yisrael Shlita throughout the day on Thursday, seeking their advice as how to proceed.

HaMevaser reports Gedolei Yisrael heard the voices of rabbonim and askanim, legal experts and others involved in the case, seeking their sagely advice as the state seeks to interfere in the decision-making process pertaining to chareidi education.

The Rabbonim met with Deputy Education Minister Meir Porush, expressing the dilemma, the blatant interference of the court in the chareidi system, compelling parents and administrators alike, brazenly seeking to impose their lifestyle on the chareidi community.

Your indignance is my entertainment. Courts are required(!) to “interfere” with the chareidi system, when that system is alleged to violate laws or rights of citizens.

I am disappointed in this article. A news article should be an objective display of the facts, not an editorial about who should be doing what. The article also does not tell us what the rabbonim said, so the author is presenting his side without the rabbanim’s backing, necessarily.

    Nothing happens by chance.
    Everything is Hashgocho Protis.
Let us look at our actions and attitudes for this dilemma.
The courts are not independent of the Will of the Abishter

Remember the only reason the court got involved was since INDIVIDUALS COULD NOT COME TO A COMPROMISE.
