Ferguson Police Spokesman Suspended After Calling Brown Memorial ‘Trash Pile’

pThe Ferguson Police Department has suspended a spokesman after he referred to the Michael Brown memorial as “a pile of trash.”

A statement that the city provided Saturday to KMOV-TV didn’t identify the officer who made the remark. The Washington Post attributed the comment to Officer Tim Zoll.

The memorial at the site of Brown’s death was damaged last week after a car apparently hit it.

Zoll doesn’t have a listed number and couldn’t be reached Sunday by The Associated Press.

The city says the spokesman denied making the comment to his supervisors, but later admitted that he’d misled his bosses.

He has been placed on unpaid leave while “disciplinary proceedings” begin.

City officials said the remarks “do not reflect the feelings of the Ferguson Police Department.”

If what I see in the picture is the memorial, it certainly looks like a trash pile, but then, a trash pile is very appropriate for the hoodlum Michael Brown that was killed.

Oh right, calling things as they are is racism. I almost made the same mistake at the black maternity ward (sorry not nice).

    Are they in denial?
If you call a spade a mouse is it a mouse?
Look at it pictured abouve and tell me it’s not a trash pile!
It’s also quite reflective of the individual for whom it serves as a memorial! He was taken out because his approach to life and his attack on Officer Wilson were that of a garbage pail kid!
    Truly a fitting memorial!

Those remarks ?do not reflect the feelings of the Ferguson Police Department?, but they most certainly reflect the feelings of every informed citizen of this country, whether or not they will admit to it.
