A big rig lost control and flipped off an overpass in Israel, Monday, but as can been seen in the photos and video attached, it is a miracle that no one was killed.
The truck driver who sustained moderate injury after rolling his truck from Highway 1, the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv Highway near Motza, told Ichud (United) Hatzalah EMTs that it was his tzitzis that saved him from a far worse outcome in the ordeal. (See photos of his Tzitis in photos below)
Rescue workers stated it was a miracle that the driver who sustained a head injury was not killed in the incident. He was conscious and oriented when extricated from the truck’s cabin.
Ichud Hatzalah personnel who were on the scene explain “he was hanging between heaven and earth at one point” when the crane began operating on the scene. He was transported to the trauma center of Jerusalem’s Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.

I’m waiting for rashahadorah to be here to post that it was no miracle but rather a seat belt that saved him.
his seatbelt saved him. it was his ???? for being ????? the command of ??????? ??? ?????????.
im sure the mitzvah of tzitzis provided a tremendous zchus for the wearer, however, it can not be denied that proper hishtadlus is buckling ones seatbelt before driving a car.
It’s a neis that the driver survived this accident and that others weren’t hurt as well.
As an EMT, I don’t understand why they removed him from his truck without taking spinal precautions, such as using a collar and backboard, which are standard procedures in traumatic accidents like this even though the patient may not be complaining of neck or back pain. They could have done him more harm than good by not immobilizing his neck and spine.
In what way did his TItzis save him? I do t see anything in the article as to how he was saved by them. I’m not trying to be cynical I just want to know if something was left out of the news report.

Unless the driver is a Navi, I don’t see the Sheichus. It says “Tzidaka” tatzel memavis, not “Tzitzes” tatzel memavis.

if thats what the driver alludes this neis to probably means that putting on a tzitzis for him was a big thing. Perhaps he was mekabel on himself to do that just yesterday and already he was so miraculously saved from such a scary accident. A malach was surely watching over him. LOVE seeing the tzitzis on him. Such a kiddush hashem.
no back board because the truck wasnt secured and they had to get him out ASAP. backboard wouldve been impossible anyways but maybe collar
