Mayor de Blasio Won’t Discuss Phone Call To NYPD

debMayor Bill de Blasio is refusing to discuss his phone call to the NYPD to ask about the arrest of a political ally.

De Blasio called the police department’s press office late Monday to inquire about Bishop Orlando Findlayter who served as a member of the mayor’s inauguration committee.

Findlayter was released and given a desk appearance ticket rather than be held in jail overnight.

He sat at the mayor’s table during a political breakfast Tuesday hours after his release.

The NYPD says de Blasio did not ask for Findlayter to be let go.

De Blasio would not address the matter Wednesday during his budget presentation.

Findlayter was stopped on a traffic violation and then arrested because he had outstanding warrants from blocking traffic during a rally.

Well, of course not. DeBlasio, like Obama, doesn’t have to answer to anyone!

Why did the press let him off with this evasion? He sounds like Obama, running away from responsibility.

At least Republicans are smart enough to have others make the phone calls and send the emails allowing them to answer any questions candidly and at length. Now who would you vote for?
