Salgado: Weiner’s Repeated Apology An ‘Insult’

salgadoRather than joining some of his fellow Democrats calling on Anthony Weiner to quit the race, due to the latest inappropriate correspondents reported, Rev. Erick Salgado called upon the press, and NYC voters in general, to seize the opportunity and consider him as a serious candidate for mayor.

“Is there a limit to the number of times someone can ask forgiveness before it becomes an insult to those within earshot?” Mr. Salgado asked in a statement released Tuesday evening. “Anthony Weiner has yet again asked for forgiveness, appealing to the generous hearts of the wonderful and understanding citizens of New York City ? the city he wants to represent as its chief executive. To learn that he continued his bad behavior even after he asked for forgiveness is unreal. How can we put our confidence in him? Should Mr. Weiner be elected can we be truly certain that this behavior will not reignite? What kind of example is this setting for our children?”.

“As New Yorkers we need a leader who can not only manage the office, but maintain the dignity that the mayoralty deserves,” Mr. Salgado further suggested. “I urge the media to stop magnifying the indecent behavior of candidates and focus its attention on those running for office such as myself who are, and have been, working hard to set a proper example both in their public and personal lives.”

Salgado is the only decent human that one can vote for. He practices what he preaches. How’s that for a change?

Should Mr. Weiner be elected can we be truly certain that this behavior will not reignite? What kind of example is this setting for our children?? and the he says this-?I urge the media to stop magnifying the indecent behavior of candidates and focus its attention on those running for office such as myself who are, and have been, working hard to set a proper example both in their public and personal lives.? “Policy is People.”–Talk is cheap. You have to look at the man and his character.

On that basis, it’s Salgado against the “Five Dwarfs.”–A no-brainer!
