Once again, persons affiliated with the Peleg Yerushalmi faction of litvish chareidi Jewry protested outside the Bnei Brak home of MK Moshe Gafne, accusing him of “selling out the chareidi tzibur” as the government advances its new draft law.
Gafne and Yahadut Hatorah colleague Uri Maklev were targeted physically and with verbal insults last week, as the Peleg followers exhibit their lack of boundaries, for they also have released pashkavilim against HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita.
About fifty Peleg protestors took part in the latest protest, as area residents shouted against hem, with some hurling eggs at protestors. Police responded to maintain order.

peleg is a group that oppose the true ideals of Torah learning; they oppose the chachmim and think that they are sooooo smart. Like all extremists, that is because they are so stupid.

It’s highly unlikely these guys could hold down a job, so forget about “making them work.” As to the army, their presence at any training base would destroy discipline. What could the army do? Put ’em in prison (again)? That’s what they want anyway. After at the most a week, they’d be discharged with a profile of 21, which would suit the pelegniks just fine. All these ingenious “punishments” — that consistently re-appear every time there’s another peleg related news report — would be totally ineffective.
