The 21-year-old chosson of a daughter of Bnei Brak Mayor Rav Yaakov Asher was struck by a taxi cab and seriously injured on Monday, 10 Shevat 5773. The victim is set to get married in the coming weeks.
According to an Ichud Hatzalah report, he sustained a serious head injury when he was hit on HaPisgah Street in Bayit Vegan. He was transported to the trauma unit of nearby Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.

The correct name is Refael Mordechai Bunim ben Shulamis.
He has already had two surgeries on his head as of Tuesday.
