Iranian UN Ambassador Mohammad Khazaee brazenly told participants of a UN Security Council session that it is Israel that is behind the fatal suicide bombing attack in the Burgas Airport in Bulgaria that claimed six lives, including five Israelis, leaving dozens wounded.
The ambassador cited that it was simply “amazing” that just minutes after the attack, Israel announced Iran was behind the bombing attack, adding his country would never take part in such a despicable act against innocent people.
“Such an act of terror could have only been planned and carried out by the same regime whose short history is full of state terrorism and assassinations aimed implicating others for narrow political gains,” Khazaee said.
Israel’s Deputy UN Ambassador Chaim Waxman said Iran’s fingerprints were on this and many other acts of terrorism.
Waxman added that it was the same Iran that regards the 9/11 attack against the World Trade Center as a conspiracy and continues to deny the Holocaust.
