Over 50 bochurim spend a full day learning with great “hasmoda” and not allowing the current situation to disturb their learning.
Hundreds of Bochrim from throughout Europe have been delayed in travelling to Eretz Yisroel for the new Zman.

Why would you expect otherwise? The shock would be if they suddently captured gameboys and were bitul zman. We’ve survived through major disasters, and the volcano in Iceland is little more than a nuisance.
