A 9-year-old child was R”L killed on Shabbos morning, he was mowed down by a motorist with a suspended drivers license.
Yehoshua Ganzfried Z”L was crossing Wallabout St. a little before 8 a.m. when he was struck by a Honda turning on to Bedford Avenue.
He was rushed by Williamsburg Hatzolah Paramedics to Brooklyn Hospital, where he R”L was Niftar a short time later.
The driver, Novella Bilkerdyka, 54, of Brooklyn, made no attempt to flee the scene and was later charged with driving with a suspended license, police said.
State records show Bilkerdyka has been cited four times for insurance lapses in the last three years.
Misaskim is working closely with the NYC Medical Examiner and the NYPD, and are working to have the body released for the Levaya & Kevura as soon as possible.
