Uzda is a small town in what often changed hands between Russia and Lithuania- Hagaon R’ Dovid Feistein AT”L- the father of Hagaon R’ Moshe ZT”L was Rov there as well-

There will be a live hook-up available for the levaya and kevurah. There are two phone numbers: 216-539-4554 and 718-906-6400 (press the * button). (The Rebbetzin, in her tzava’a, requested that there be no hespedim.)

Rabbosai, I have nothing against R’ Moshe z”l, but it is a lack of kavod hamais to spend your time talking about him rather than the choshuve Rebbetazin, the Aishes Chaver of Morainu HaGaon R’ Chaim Stein Shlit”a.

Who cares where she was from? She raised doros Yeshorim who are osek b’Torah u’v’Mitzvos and was a part of the Telz community for nearly sixty years.

Yichus is just zeroes, you have to be the 1 in front, and she was.

    Boruch Dayan HaEmmes!
The Rebbitzin always had a smile and viewed all the Bochurim, Yungerleit and families as if they were her own. The tremendous Mesiras Nefesh to be Mekable Yisurim B’Ahava that both her and Maran the Rosh Yeshiva Shlit” had while their son Reb Sholom Refoel Yehuda Z”L was going through his many sicknesses was a remarkable feat that left an indelible impression on all Talmidei HaYeshiva.

jj I stand corrected but didn’t they live at the end in EY?

    jj and benuri –

Maybe you know what seminary she attended? or whether her brother ever went to a baseball game?

Come on people, priorities! What’s the big deal about where her parents lived or what day her mother shopped for Shabbos?

    A Telzer Talmid

observant jew: I am also a Telzer Talmid. What’s your problem about knowing about the Rebbetzin’s parents

  23. Observant Jew says: August 6, 2008 7:25 am 7:25 am at 7:25 am

You’re right Benuri, there is nothing wrong with knowing who they were or where they lived.

What frustrated me was that the majority of comments were not about the nifteres, nor did they really add anything to the story of her greatness.

However, it does say she asked for no hespaidim so I guess her gadlus is shown in how well that was followed on this board.
