The news of the petira of the Zvill Rebbe, Rav Avraham Goldman, zt”l spread through Yerushalayim and Eretz Yisrael on Tuesday morning. The Rebbe was 76 and he was niftar in Shaare Zedek Medical Center, where he was admitted for some time as was reported earlier in the month by YWN-Israel.
The Rebbe took ill during the past year and was hospitalized during much of the illness. He lost consciousness on Monday night and was niftar during the morning hours while his family was present.
The Admor is survived by three sons. Most of the hundreds of families who followed the Rebbe live in Jerusalem and Betar Illit.
The levaya will get underway at 2:30pm form the Zvill Beis Medrash on Shmuel HaNavi Street in the Beis Yisrael area of Yerushalayim. From there, the levaya will make its way to Har HaZeisim for kvura.

the rebbe was majestic until the end as is befitting for a man of his stature. may he be a mlitz yosher for all of klall yisroel.
During the year I spent learning in Mir in EY (which neighbors the Zviller B”M) I was zoche to watch the rebbe’s unusal humility. He was known as a great talmid chacham and a holy person, yet he was unusually humble. Zechuso Yagen Aleinu

The signs I saw this morning said the levaya will start at 2:00, not 2:30. Please advise.
