The Posuk tells us to put a fence ???? on the roof (Dvarim 22:8). The posuk could have said for the stairs, the deck, etc.
Why the roof?
The roof symbolized the HIGHEST elevation of the structure.
This corresponds to the human’s brain.
One should put guards around one’s brain and thoughts to prevent “falling” in misdeeds.
