The unique thing that this Gadol did in my case was set up a litmus test for my “ex-Kallah” to see if she could live up to the standard you hailed DESPITE her background (which lacked the modeling you described as critical). I know that the litmus test WOULD have worked if only I had trusted in his advice (without the Rov even meeting the party in question).
