I heard that the mitzvah goes past shkia into Shushan Purim except in Yerushalayim where Purim is celebrated on Shushan Purim. That is why some people in Yerushalayim are makpid to stop drinking at shkia, although most will hold by the latest zman for shkia or will even be makpid to drink until tzeis (Rabeinu Tam of course)!
