The easy way out is to do like Yair Lapid, and “serve” in the IDF newspaper or something similar. It is much easier for a new recruit to get out of being ????? in the ???? – active combat service than it is to learn in Yeshiva. If you knew anything about how the IDF actually operates you would know that most recruits ??????? DON’T see active combat. There are logistical support units, cyber/drone units, intelligence units, peeling potatos units, etc.
