Lipa is demystifying Yiddish and showing frum people that Yiddish is as holy as you make it out to be. Maybe that’s why there is such opposition to him- he’s single-handedly smashing the “yiddish= holy” trope.
I’m a big Lipa fan, but I understand why many are not.
