El Al has canceled all regularly scheduled flights through April 18 due to ongoing restrictions at Ben Gurion Airport amid the war with Iran.
The airline is operating a limited emergency schedule, with select outbound flights to major destinations including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, London, Paris, Rome, Athens, and Bangkok.
Departing flights are capped at just 100 passengers, while inbound flights to Israel continue without restrictions.
Due to the severe seat shortage, passengers are being prioritized based on original booking dates, with humanitarian and medical cases receiving priority.
El Al also announced that ticket sales for outbound flights are closed through April 18, while inbound tickets remain available subject to availability.

How is this cancelation of scheduled flights affecting the scheduled assignments & integration of the new Lakewood/Mir Brachfeld flying Mashgiach?
Can ELAL just advise the public at large that it is not they who are responsible for all this uncertainty and mayhem: they are subject to the wartime regulations. They’re losing tons of money. I know most people don’t care about their loses especially after it’s alleged that they brutally price-gouged the public after October 7th. Travel agents lost everything they earned. Enormous number of ticket sales had to be refunded and their commission monies that they earned all winter long selling tickets was recaptured because the sales failed to yield the result. They lost all their earnings big time. And most have even used their earnings from the winter sales only to be told they need to refund ELAL and – like it or not- justifiably so!
